Ryan D. Eckert,  MBA, APMA®, CPFA®

After graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State University in 1992, Ryan began his career at Charles Schwab, Inc.  He joined Waddell & Reed, Inc. in 2009 when he accepted the position of Managing Principal in the Orlando area.  In 2017, Ryan decided to concentrate his time and efforts toward his clients and relinquished his Managing Principal role.  Over his career, he has attained the following financial licenses:

• Series 7 General Securities License in 1994
• Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent State Law License in 1994
• Series 8 Securities Supervisor (Options and General Securities) in 1997
• Series 66 Uniform Combined State Law License in 2000
• FL 2-15 Life, Health & Variable Annuity License in 2008
• Series 24 General Securities Principal Examination in 2009

In 2019, Ryan attained the Accredited Portfolio Management Advisor (APMA) financial designation.

In 2018, Ryan and fellow advisor Tony Pike co-founded EP Wealth Strategies, LLC and purchased their own office real estate in the MetroWest area of Orlando, Florida. 

In 2021, Ryan attained the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor (CPFA) financial designation

Ryan Graduated with his MBA degree from University of Mississippi in 2024.  Go Rebels!

Ryan’s client base includes both individual and institutions in multiple states.  He prides himself on building strong relationships with his clients that can extend through generations. 

Outside of helping his clients, Ryan also enjoys helping local youth organizations and the community.  He has coached youth football for over 15 years, volunteered with First Tee in Connecticut, Habitat for Humanity in Indiana, Leukemia Society Team in Training, Wounded Warriors Project, as well as helped build a school in the Dominican Republic with CFC.

Ryan and his wife Christina reside with their dog Dolce in the Winter Garden / Windermere Florida area.  Christina has been by his side for many years and he credits her love and support for much of his success.  They have two boys (Alexander and Quentin), both attended and played Football and Lacrosse at Windermere Prep.  

Above all else, Ryan enjoys his family and the relationships he has built over the years.  When not at work, you will probably find him with his wife and family enjoying the fantastic Florida weather.
